For this session, we will be looking at the exhibition V.L.F, By Ben Cavender

‘V.L.F.’ is an exhibition exploring the unheard sounds which fill our environment. It shows a Very Low Frequency radio receiver which can detect and amplify electromagnetic signals which are broadcast at frequencies below the audible spectrum. By listening to the sounds the receiver makes, you can listen to the sounds made by electronic devices and wireless data signals inside the room, as well as natural signals which are created in the Earth’s magnetosphere.

Ben is a BA Fine Art Photography Student, in Year 4.
