When I first started this journey three years ago as a Student Trustee, I could not have predicted it would have led me here. I’m so grateful to everyone who has made it through this epic saga with me. To celebrate, here is a little compilation of some of my favourite moments from my time here over the last three years (there are about 100 more photos I could add here but sadly instagram only allows for 20).

There are so many incredible people who have made everything we have achieved as an organisation possible these last three years and too many people to thank in one post, but there are a few key groups I want to shout out:

The GSASA team who have supported me throughout this time.

The current and past Sabbs, Trustees and staff who have worked so hard to build this community.

The entire DUSA team who have worked so incredibly hard over the last two years to bring the Assembly Hall to life.

Our incredible bar team who have become such an integral part the fabric of this community.

All of the GSA staff who have supported me throughout my time here.

And most of all I am thankful to you, the students. Thank you to every single one of you who believed in me and trusted me to fight for you - I hope that I have done you all proud. Thank you to all of the students who have dedicated countless hours to the GSASA as without you we would not have a purpose. I can’t believe how far we have come as an organisation this year. I feel confident that you are all in safe hands with this year’s President, Rufus Horton, and Vice President, Charli Runcie.

I have found a home here in this city, and I am really excited to share that I will be spending the next few months working with GSA as a Researcher looking at activating spaces on Sauchiehall Street for creative social innovation.

This year has been better than I could have ever have expected and I want to say thank you to every single person who has made that possible.

With Love & Solidarity,

Alicia Bickerstaff (Vice President 23/24 & President 24/25)
